In this episode of IF Chats, Shri Ram Madhav, Member, Board of Governors, India Foundation talks to Aditya Raj Kaul on the developments in the one year of formation of the UT of J&K and UT of Ladakh.
Ram Madhav is an Indian politician, author and thinker. Formerly, he has been the National General Secretary of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
Ram Madhav also serves as a Member of the Governing Board of India Foundation, a New Delhi based premier think tank which seeks to articulate Indian Nationalistic perspective on issues of National and International importance.

70 years of subjugation under Kashmir rule ended on 5th august 2019,and the people of Ladakh finally got independent and an integral part of india as per the wishes of people of Ladakh. This could have not become true had BJP rule at the centre under the dynamic leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi Ji, the aspiration of people of ladakb turned into reality, to which we are indebted forever. It has been 1 and half year since Ladakh become union Territory and the unimaginable development of people mentally and physically is reflecting each passing day. It was challenging to shape new Ladakh UT which we had to start from scratch, but with the team of efficient officer and LG at the top we are sailing smoothly. Only apprehension people have is the security for thier identity and protection of land, job and culture, which need to be address and thier demand is for constitutional safeguard.
