K.C. Monnappa is a soldier, scholar-practitioner whose academic journey bridges the realms of social science, public policy, and strategic studies. With postgraduate degrees in Social Work and Political Science from Delhi University, his research spans issues of governance, civil-military relations, and human security in conflict zones. He is currently pursuing his PhD at the North-Eastern Hill University (NEHU), where his work focuses on the intersections of Ontological Security, national security, identity, and the social contract in the Global South.
