In the year 2000, like thousands of other young dreamers from Bihar, I stood at a crossroads. Seeking the quality education and professional ecosystem that my home state then struggled to provide, I joined the silent exodus of our brightest minds. I became a migrant. For over two decades, I watched Bihar from afar, always carrying a sense of “what if?”
Today, in 2026, I am no longer watching from the sidelines. I have returned—not just to my roots, but to a position where I can ensure that the next generation of students doesn’t have to make the same heart-wrenching choice I did twenty-six years ago.
The Architect of the Resurrection
Such a recovery would likely not have materialized without the specific institutional reforms led by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. Upon assuming office, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar inherited a state characterized by significant institutional decay and socio-economic stagnation.
With his unwavering commitment to Nyay Ke Saath Vikas (Development with Justice), he painstakingly rebuilt the foundation of our society: law and order, roads, and electricity. He didn’t just fix a broken administration; he restored the dignity of the Bihari identity. It is his vision that has transitioned us from an era of basic survival to an era where we are ready to take a magnificent flight toward a developed future.
A Charged-Up Administration: The Pratyay Amrit Factor
Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has always believed in empowering high-performers, and this is clearly visible in today’s administrative machinery. Under the CM’s guidance, Chief Secretary, Mr. Pratyay Amrit, has infused the state’s bureaucracy with a rare, innovative energy.
Mr. Pratyay Amrit’s administration looks fully charged up, operating with a mindset that is bold, tech-savvy, and “ready for takeoff.” Whether it is the rapid implementation of the Artificial Intelligence (AI) Mission or the real-time resolution of industrial hurdles, the Chief Secretary’s office reflects the Chief Minister’s own urgency for progress. Under this leadership duo, the Bihar Secretariat has evolved from a place of “processing files” to a powerhouse of “creating solutions.”
The Flight to 2030
The mandate of 2025 was a vote of confidence in this leadership. Our goal to provide 1 crore jobs by 2030 is the next chapter of the “Nitish Model.” We are now inviting global players to set up Global Capacity Centers (GCCs) right here, backed by the Bihar Industrial Investment Promotion Package (BIPPP-2025).
As a “returned migrant” and a young MLA, I see the bridge being built between the Bihar I left in 2000 and the Bihar we are building now. We are no longer a state of “out-migration”; we are becoming a “Global Workplace.”
The journey from 2000 to 2026 has been long, but because of a leader who refused to let Bihar fail and an administration that is now ready to soar, the destination is finally in sight. Bihar is not just back; Bihar is leading.
